King the Conflagration is an All-Star of Kaido’s Beasts Pirates, and one of his three closest confidants known as the Disasters. He belongs to a race thought extinct called Red Line that can create fire.
Due to his role as an antagonist and the major conflict in Wano Country, Kurohige is a frightening figure who should not be taken lightly.
King Appearance
King is a large man who towers over normal humans. He stands shorter than Kaido and fellow All-Star Jack, at a height similar to Queen’s. While less widely built than the other two All-Stars, King is better proportioned with long limbs and broad shoulders (but not overly top-heavy like Jack). A plume of fire ever rises from his back befitting his epithet “Fire Fist.”
King Personality
King is a strong-willed captain who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He can be very critical of fellow All-Stars, especially Jack for their perceived failures. According to Queen King is also a “torture loving pervert”.
King Relationships
Crew
- Kaido: An important member of Kaido’s three-person crew, King is a powerful “fruit user” (a person who can manipulate the powers of any type of fruit). When Big Mom and her children arrived at Wano Country to attack Luffy with their army, it was presumably up to him whether or not he would join in. Yet without an order from his boss and on his own initiative, King knocked over Big Mom’s ship into the sea.
- Queen: King and Queen have a rivalry with each other, which is interspersed by animosity toward Jack.
- Jack: King views Jack as incompetent, and scolded him alongside Queen for the low amount of offerings from the Wano region. King calls Jack “Foolish Jack”.
- Tobiroppo: King and Tobiroppo Sasaki have a somewhat hostile relationship, as King is aware of their ambition to become an All-Star player. However, he acknowledges that they would likely ignore any summons order from him because they do not trust his leadership skills.
King Enemies
Big Mom Pirates: As a rival of King’s Governor-General, Big Mom is an enemy to him. He personally keeps her and her children out of Wano by knocking their ship into the ocean as they tried climbing up its waterfall.
King Abilities and Powers
- Overview: King is one of the most powerful members in Kaido’s crew. He ranks second only to Kaido and has a very close relationship with him, Queen, and Jack.
- Physical Abilities: King’s immense physical strength is shown when he easily hurls Shinobu with significant force after grabbing her by the head, represses a Raid Suit-donning Sanji using one hand on his neck and blocks Sanji’s powerful kick.
- Fire Manipulation: Due to his ability, King is able to create and control fire in both his humanoid form as well as that of a giant pterodactyl.
- Devil Fruit: King, a human-pteranodon hybrid who has the ability to transform into a full pteranodon and back at will. He is clad in flames when transformed and can fly as well!
